Gush: The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Adventure Board Game

Turn emotional growth into an unforgettable family game night with Gush, the psychologist-designed board game created to help children ages 5 and up explore, understand, and manage their feelings through play. Instead of dry lectures or awkward talks, Gush turns social-emotional learning into a quest across a colorful island, making open communication natural, purposeful, and fun for the whole family.

The Story of Gush Island

Long ago, six powerful Guardians—Happy, Calm, Grateful, Brave, Resilient, and Kind—kept Gush Island in perfect harmony. But when a sudden storm of tangled emotions swept over the land, all six Guardians were trapped in cages! Now, it’s up to your young adventurers to travel across the island, tackle engaging challenges, share meaningful thoughts, and earn coins to free the Guardians and restore balance to the realm.

How to Play

• Explore & Share: Journey across the island board and draw from 180 Emotion Cards covering core feelings like Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Empathy, and Gratitude.
• Overcome & Earn: Complete interactive challenges, open the Treasure Chest, and collect colored coins.
• Rescue the Guardians: Use your earned coins to unlock the 6 caged Guardians.
• Choose Your Mode: Play cooperatively as a team against the clock, or competitively to see who can rescue the most Guardians!
