Description

Originated in the majestic town of Jezzine in South Lebanon, the traditional firebird cutlery was born in 1770. Made of elaborately inlaid bone and a vibrantly painted phoenix-shaped handle, each piece holds the authentic spirit of Lebanon: history, culture and beauty. This highly symbolic bird emerges from our past’s ashes and rises strong and powerful, just like the biblical land of Lebanon. Those carefully handcrafted cutlery have soared above the skies and landed in homes here and beyond. Starting with the Ottoman Sultans in the 18th century, they have been presented by Lebanese presidents and officials to dignitaries all over the world.
